Hot water bag relieves cervical and lumbar pain

Yesterday, I went to the hospital because of my low back pain and cervical vertebra pain. In 2018, I had a CT scan of the lumbar spine and an MRI of the cervical vertebra, and the result was that I had mild lumbar disc herniation and cervical vertebra herniation. At that time, the doctor gave me five days of acupuncture and moxibustion. After acupuncture and moxibustion, my pain disappeared. Now, five years later, my waist and neck are starting to ache again. When I arrived at the hospital, there were many people, and I waited for three hours. I really didn't want to wait anymore, so I rode my electric bike home. I didn't see a doctor because I didn't want to wait anymore. After returning home, I used a hot water bag to compress my neck and waist. I slept on the hot water bag all night last night. Today, I don't feel much pain in my waist. I will persist in using a hot water bag for a few days

@zhangxueying - I am not considering surgery for the moment. I have physiotherapy sessions time by time.

@LadyDuck Physiotherapy is also a good method. Many diseases are a long march for patients.Endlessly running to the hospital

Most of our treatments are acupuncture and moxibustion and traction, which are temporary but not permanent. They can only relieve pain and can't treat bones. In the most serious cases, surgery will be considered

I hope the hot water bottle completely relieves your pain... I'm sorry you couldn't get in to see a doctor.

I really feel good after getting up in the morning, but at night I did some housework, and then I began to feel pain again.

Do you have a bath tub also? Epsom Salts also can help ease pain in the bath. Yes when I was a child, my Mother always made us a hot water bottle for bed and it helped. Sorry you are in pain.

Unfortunately, I don't have a bathtub right now, I only have a shower. Maybe in the future, I can have a collapsible tub.

Yes, but it's really troublesome. I feel good after getting up in the morning, and after doing some housework in the evening, I feel bad again

@zhangxueying I think using hot water bag provides only temporary relief of pain. You may need to do some therapy.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having health issues. However, I strongly recommend that you see a doctor for a more accurate diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Using a hot compress may help alleviate the pain, but it is not an effective long-term solution. Please take care of your health.

Yes, this is indeed not a long-term effective method. Perhaps next week I will find time to go to the hospital, and I will have to spend money on my health again.

Sounds hurtful. I hope the scan and the treatment goes well for you.
