I got some work done on my book this afternoon.

I had a productive day today, albeit in a quiet way. I went to TJs and got some groceries, MyLotted a bit, went through some mail that had been sitting by my bed, put polyurethane on the backs of three sets of coasters, and worked on a couple of book chapters.
I am going to celebrate by relaxing on my bed and practicing guitar scales. And maybe practicing my new song as well. As well as one I wrote a few months ago for my friend Mike, the fella who records my stuff and plays with me in a couple of bands.
@Vandana7 will like the songs, as they're both kind of funny. The newer one pokes fun at Western Swing and bluegrass songs that lament lost love, drinking, etc., and the other one is a sily bluegrass song about some drunk guy falling over with your precious $3,000 guitar in his hands. I slay myself.
I hope your Friday has been good. I'll attach a link to one of my already-out-there songs (actually, a John Prine song) for newer MyLotters who don't know that I am an international star. And a legend in my own mind.
Photo is a rare selfie of me reading to my friend Noa.

@RubyHawk Have you heard my happiest song? Its called "Sometimes." I actually wrote it. Eh, you've probably already left a comment. I am a narcissist, but not a malignant one.

I had an okay day. I finished reading a book number 14 out of my 23-book goal for the year. I worked a bit on two of my books I'm writing. I bounced between them as idea came to my head in what i wanted to be saying in them. Went to the store two times. Brought the kids to play Bingo at there school tonight since its the first one in like 3 years they finally had in person.

@TheHorse No, I take notes about things about my character, or a place in the story. If I don't know what I want to write next I take a break or leave at that for a bit. I can always work on something else or read. Sometimes reading unblocks me since I'm relaxed. I like to write my books and take notes as I go. Chapter by chapter just how my brain works.

@ShyBear88 I have an idea about what I want to write next. I leave notes in the text of given chapter. Like you, I save and do something else until ready to write again.

@wolfgirl569 Hey, Noa is one cute kid. I talked to her a couple (maybe four, actually) of years after I took that photo of us. She was a wise old child of maybe seven by then. She said, "I'm not so sure I want to grow up. I like being a kid!"
