I´m still fighting with the provider of the cable TV.

Years ago I hired a service that included internet ( a must), a "light" cable TV, line phone and wifi. If I had hired all those services separatly it would have been a lot more expensive. And I added an extra every month so that if anything is not working, a technician can come for free. But now it is the time of the online fixing. I called 2 days ago so a technicuan would come. I talked to a girl in the company´s call center who wasn´t even answering my call from this country After she told me several times to wait on line, she decided that a technician has to come and we amde an appointment. Today, another girl called and told me that we had to try to repair it first online so that I had to help. I was talking to Marco at that moment so I said I was busy then. And a few minutes ago she called again. By then I had thought about it and I was angry If I pay every month for a service, I want said service if I have a problem. She told me that we could "try" to fix it online. What did she mean by WE? The last time "we" did it, I had to kneel down to get the D box (now I cannot kneel down) and read what it said in tiny letters in the back of it. So I told her that I was 77 years old AND bedridden and that I paid every month so that a technician came and fixed it alone. And as I was angry, I also told her that when the technician came he should bring a new remote as the control was as old as I was. The girl tried to ask if I lived with someone else and I said NO! So she asked me for my address (that they have), my phone number (that they have) and the technician is coming after lunch. I don´t like this new world. It is almost 12 and I haven´t showered yet. So I´d better do that soon.

I know what you mean about "we". I spent the past month having to do a lot of things online while talking to a tech rep on the phone. Plug this in, unplug that, type in this, type in that, go in the other room and unplug your extender, go get your cell phone. I'm too old for this. I hope your TV is fixed and you got a new remote.

Boy! Weird! This story was like deja vu to me for I had this very thing happen to me a couple of years ago. My company was nicer though. They said they'd send someone. I pay a certain amount each month that pays for the technician to come out no matter what is the problem. I do hope yours gets fixed. I have to have mine for it is my entertainment. I also have the laptop and cell phone.

Yup! Companies always want you to fix whatever is wrong now while they sit on their tush and talk you through doing their job. Last time we had a problem, they kept calling and walking me through things trying to "fix" my service... When they finally decided to send someone, we'd been without internet for a week and it turned out the "problem" was that the technician had disconnected the wire at the cable box across the street because he didn't think anyone was using it.

Oh man. I hate this for you. I hope you've gotten a quick shower in and hope to get your cable fixed ASAP.
