The Horse is ticked off at the Liberal Press

I just awoke from a barrage of odd dreams. I had my midnight snack (Brie on Matzos and water with cranberry juice) and decided to let my Jungian shadow do a post. Like most Americans, I am glad that Donald Trump with probably finally be indicted on Tuesday. Trump has said that he will turn himself in, as he does not want to be seen in handcuffs. But there will still be mug shots for our Schadenfreude-induced pleasure. But what ticks me off is that some of the Liberal press's articles are not about the fall of a bad man. They are about how some Republicans are still supporting Trump. This is their "spin." They are trying to make Republicans in general appear "guilty by association." Most Conservatives I know have either thrown their hats in the ring for Ron Desantis, or are laying low, surveying the political landscape for 2024. They are not "bad people," just because they fell under the spell of a "bad person." Further, in one of the articles I read, they (the press) went overboard in suggesting that Donald Trump wants people to "riot," as he led them to do during the January 6 incident. A closer reading shows that he is merely calling for "protests" among those who still support him. He did not call specifically for riots. I will attach one of the articles I read yesterday. Of course, Trump has to pay for his crimes. But not all Republicans are idiots. We need balance in our political system. I think the Left has to back off on "political correctness," and that the Right has to get its integrity back. What are your thoughts?
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and several MAGA Republicans rallied around Donald Trump on Saturday ahead of the former president's possible indictment.

@TheHorse I don't think he will be locked up either. But it's still a nice dream

I want to see Trump in prison. But I've maintained for awhile he's going to get way with ankle bracelets. I admit there will be some pleasure in seeing his mug shots.

@wolfgirl569 Supposedly he could get four years for the Stormy Daniels thing. We shall see.

@popciclecold This is perhaps the most "minor" of the indictments he will face.

"thrown their hats in the ring" Would that be red MAGA hats?

I agree. I think the tone should be more about how few people are attending his indoctrination speeches/rallies. That’s a good thing, but “good news” doesn’t sell, so they have to make it about something bad.

Yep. And painting all Conservatives as "bad" or "stupid" or "opportunistic" serves their Liberal agenda, but also undermines their credibility as "objective news sources."

But I would like the Republicans to have a viable candidate. I am tired of "political correctness." No, I am not a Desantis fan either.

Welll.... A rally in Waco on the anniversary of the siege there? I hope no bad people attend that circus.

@JamesHxstatic He's probably calling for it everywhere. But I honestly think that even the MAGAs are tired of him. I hope Tuesday is "just another day." Except for the indictment and the mug shots.

@TheHorse I read about the rally a day or two ago. Seems like a bad idea, but I'm glad it's in Texas, so Abbott has to dealt with it.

There you go.....I don't know anything about your political system. LOL That said, I am inclined to agree with the concept...that "They are not "bad people," just because they fell under the spell of a "bad person."" People spend years in a political party...working presumably hard. Asking them to give up on their careers across the years is expecting too much even if the leader who they select is bad. That said..........all politicians are bad...only bad people become politicians.

@TheHorse Technically, it is not possible to be in high places without some compromises that remain unknown to people for majority of lives. That is the way the system is........

I don't know if all politicians are bad. Was Barak Obama bad underneath it all? Or did he actually "serve" his country?

Evading taxes, causing a riot, letting covid overrun the nation before acknowledging it. I want to see Trump in prison, but I’m afraid it will never happen.

I admit that I will get a bit of satisfaction when he is indicted, if only for the least reprehensible of his many crimes, on Tuesday.
