The richest Indian worth US $82 billion he keeps buying expensive things as we would buy groceries He owns the most expensive cars, most expensive properties the world over, His garage occupies 168 cars. He lives in a mansion which is the second most expensive in the world. He owns a couple of aero planes - you name it and he owns it - everything the most expensive. A thought occurs to me - Is all this needed? He is none other than Mukesh Ambani This link has more

AS I thought when I read your post, "poor rich man". He does not have any wishes to work for. Why would anyone want 168 cars if we only have one butt?

After a certain point when you no longer have to worry about money, and you have treated yourself to nice clothes and exotic holidays or whatever you fancied, then what? The more things you have, the more resources you need to devote to looking after them - garages for the cars, people to service and clean them, security guards etc etc. It would be better to try to leave some sort of worthwhile legacy, for example like Fred Hollows who @JudyEv just mentioned

We too have a guy like that - Azim Premji The problem is society wants to know who is the richest in the world and this guy is trying to get there
Azim Premji and family increased donations 23 per cent on-year during the last fiscal, as per the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2021

@JudyEv I think it costs a lot more than that. Even with insurance and a copay, it costs more.

What i forgot to say was that $10 - a measly $10 - is all it costs to save someone's sight, that's someone with cataracts of course and in this program.

NO, he does not need all those things. There should be a limit how much one single person can earn and keep without sharing.

@LadyDuck No doubt it is an individual's decision but society does have a say in giving importance to those who are rich

@allknowing We always blame the society and this is the mistake, blame those who accumulate money and cars and mansions and do not use the money to help those in need.

My biggest question is if he is truly happy buying all that stuff. Things don't bring happiness. You need good relationships to feel truly blessed.

@allknowing My ambition is to be happy and satisfied with what I have and have my loved ones happy too. If I was rich like that, I would probably give a lot away. I know a lot of people who need a lot of things.

Why doesn't he do some good with it and be remembered for something worthwhile. That would make more sense.

Yeah that seems morn then a little excessive to me. It’s his to do what he wants with thought. Hopefully he uses some of that wealth to help others.

It appears to me that he is trying to "buy" happiness. A rich man in my place has set up a charity fund to help those in need. I hope this richest man in India has used some of his money to help others too.
