It was quite warm yesterday, and something flew in my face. Just now there was some huge ugly fly on the screen. That is seriously the worst thing about living here. It seems to be bug central, and we get all these creepy crawlies around. From now until maybe Dec. 1 it will be bug season...yuk, yuk...gross
. Are bugs a problem where you live?

Summers are nice in the North compared to the Hell we have down here. I always enjoyed them when I lived there.

@just4him I think I would prefer it over the chill of the upper Midwest. I can't take prolonged intense cold.

@snowy22315 I wouldn't want to live there with summer starting so early and the bugs coming out this early.

No..it is very dry here so not even mosquitoes..if there are any, I have never been bitten by a mosquito in Colorado.

@RebeccasFarm such fun...the thing that really worries me are ticks I will always use spray if I am going to be out in the grass or even walking around trees for any length of time.

@LeaPea2417 I have a big sealed container of them on the porch. You never know when some unwholesome insect might show up.

We fight with ants coming in around the kitchen window in the Spring then Pretty goes out and sprays for them around the foundations of the house and we don't see them again until the next Spring. I saw and killed one yesterday.

That is the thing I really couldn't take about Fla. well, that and the heat and humidity..although right on the ocean would be OK...or south Fla is kind of balmy.

@snowy22315 I wouldn't want to live on beachside. It's flood zone central should a hurricane hit.

I need to get a head start on the spraying. Maybe I can deter them from even thinking about it. They also hate peppermint oil that is a great deterrent.

Guess what wakes up when the weather gets warmer? We have large flying roaches. But I now have two cats and they chase these things and get them. It is not so bad this year.

Once they get in they are horrible to try to get rid of, that goes for any kind of bug.

Thankfully bugs are not a problem here.
If you go up to Aberdeen
Bugs are what you carry home shopping in
