No, my 12-year-olds didn't lose it physically just that my husband and I took it away from her. She got caught breaking one of her cell phone rules that we made. She knew she has done gone because she tried to hide the fact that she got caught. Her brothers were complaining she was in the bathroom making videos. Okay, my husband asked her where her phone was. She said her room but then went oh no it's in here. Duh!
She is 12, not the cleverest at hiding things ever. My husband took her phone away to look at what she had been doing. Well, she not only got caught making a makeup video which isn't bad. Okay fine, we can tell don't do it again with the phone in the bathroom. What she got in trouble for was a video in the bathroom with no pants on. She had her panties on. That is a big no. Part of the no inappropriate pictures and stuff on your phone. Well Now her phone is ours. Her camera function and camera are going to be turned off for a period of time. Not sure how long but she has been set to bed early for the night.
Yes, I went through the pictures and videos to see if there were any more which there weren't Deleted the one that was on her phone.

Oh yikes I’m glad you wound up catching that not a good thing for her to do. It even creeps me out thinking what if her phone got hacked and pedophiles could see those photos.
I just realized what your avatar is of. All this time I couldn’t figure it out until now

@ShyBear88 everyone has always called the profile photo here an avatar. I never thought any different now I’m wondering if I’ve been saying it wrong all these years because of others saying it. Maybe some are avatars and some aren’t and I confused things.

@shaggin Avatars are usually little cartoon figures that look like you but are not actually you. This is what is profile picture is. They are using the incorrect terminology. Picture on your profile is a profile picture.

my husband caught her not me so he go to rain punishment down. She knew she broke a rule so she isn't fighting the punishment. She can have it back on Tuesday when she is walking to school and has limited time for it when she comes home.

@ShyBear88 I hope that she will learn how to use it and what not to do with it. Lately, young children are exposed to so many bad ideas from other youngsters that you can´t be too cautious.

@marguicha She will but once she is 18 it's out of my control what she does or doesn't do with her phone. She is the same age as most kids and knows a lot about a lot of things. Them being exposed young is actually a good thing because it puts self-awareness oneself. When I was here taking pictures like that I could easily hide and send them to anyone around the world. Parent control these days is a lot better than it was in the 90's and early 00's.

I'm sure she does since it's under lockdown right now with me and my husband. She has to earn a longer time with it.
