Shouldn't we get to say goodbye when we are leaving?

We all make mistakes. (I do) At times we transgress rules, unwittingly. At other times, we are convinced we are right and have not crossed our boundaries so we stand our ground. If the rules say ... that is unacceptable, we have to leave. But hey, we are kinda family. I have shared so many good moments with you all. You all have been with me through thick and thin. We may not have personal addresses... and at such times, if we cannot be in touch, it feels bad. Leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Even if we have disagreed a plenty, there is a relationship...because there is more to a person than just a single point of view on which we differ. In other arenas, we may be perfectly agreeable, and there may be 10 such important factors on which we agree, and one impersonal almost inconsequential factor on which we disagree. I wouldn't bury a friendship with just one difference unless it was extremely hurtful. All I am saying is...I miss friends ...those who want to leave ..I do understand. But shouldn't we be aware of such decisions? Just so that we can be in touch? Missing a few of my friends...good friends...suddenly feeling lost without them. I did take them for granted. Presumed they would be around all the time. I am guilty of that.

I have to agree with you that it would be nice to tell before leaving. I also miss some friends.

Even with our dearest loved ones we have our differences once in a while.

True. Here, the differences are not serious enough partly because they don't reach the level of personal encroachment. I am missing topffer and maluse. Top has not been around for a real long time.

Okay, I'll say good-bye now, not that either one of us is going anywhere, just getting it in there.

Don't be so mean...hugs....don't go...but should you decide ..enough is enough...just give us a ping...let us hug...even if virtual...and share sweet feelings.

True friendships can weather even the worst storms. Someone who is merely enjoying your company while it suits them, will jump the friend'ship' the moment there is trouble. I was sharing this scripture earlier today with someone: 'There are companions ready to crush one another, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.' Proverbs 18:24 May you run into as few of the former as possible, but have at least one or two of the latter

Sometimes friends don't realize how much of an impact they have had on your life. There was one gentleman ..grandpalash. One Indian was calling me all sorts of names...vulgar ones...he possibly had issues with his girlfriend or wife. Grandpalash stood up for me...those were the beginning days out here..it was quite shocking to be targeted for no good reason. Then Grandpalash left. Friends like Topffer and Maluse I have interacted for longer...and yes, I am missing them...

Saphrina was such a rage like Pony. Most people would be found on her post. She left so abruptly. She is there on facebook, but does not interact with myLotters.

A goodbye would be / would have been nice . . . but as life would have it, we sadly don't always get that opportunity. I can only hope that, wherever our missing friends are, they are alive and well. On that note, I sort of have a plan for informing friends here in case something should happen to me.

It is not always something happen to us......... sometimes people simply leave. Saphrina left ...she is alive ...she is on facebook, but does not come here. Natural to miss her.

@vandana7 Ah, glad to hear she is ok! She is not here to play anymore I guess, but it is good to know she is around (there is always a chance they could come back). But not being here, it is as if they have moved out of "our" beloved neighborhood and we do miss them. I know you mentioned topffer (where are you topffer???) and MALUSE (I had only recently discovered her account is gone).

I take no one or nothing for granted and realize that one minute here and the next minute gone. I am well accustomed to it.

I wouldn't bury a friendship with just one difference unless it was extremely hurtful. ----------------------How many differences do you allow? And do you have Burial Insurance or do you pay out of pocket?

It all depends upon what sort of differences. LOL. If you called me ugly, I might get even with you....but I will not stop being your friend. But if you want me to harm somebody I don't want to, and use that as a test of our friendship, it will be a goodbye. LOL Those are just two examples...somethings are inconsequential, and maybe just unpleasant to listen to, even if true...I wont dump friends because of such things, despite many such differences. Others are more serious issues that can weigh heavily on conscience or life. Then even one difference is too much.

@vandana7 Ah, so you structure it like the legal system. Misdemeanors and felonies. With sentences ranging from the equivalent of community service to life.

Sometimes there are circumstances which prevent them from saying goodbye. I will be leaving instructions that if I should pass away, this person is to tell the MyLot members and the Facebook members.
