Hailey Sharp has a one-track mind: Get By The Cup salad shop off the ground. Do literally everything possible to make it a success. With a head full of ideas and a bad ex in her rearview mirror, her one and only focus is living life the way she wants to. No distractions.
West Jansen never did understand the fuss about relationships. With a strong of lackluster first dates (from a dating app called meet-cute) and the pain from his parent's angry divorce following him around, he'd much rather find someone he likes but won't love. Companionship, not passion, is the name of the game
When Hailey and Wes find each other in a disastrous meet-cute that wasn't intented for them, they embarrassingly go their separate ways. But when Wes finds Hailey to apologize for his behavior, they strike up a friendship. Because that's all this can be. Hailey doesn't want any distractions. West doesn't want to fall in love.

Oh my God, the last few chapters of this book were amazing. I laughed and laughed, and then I cried. Maybe because I read it out loud. But I loved this story. And the messages conveyed in what love is and how you know, etc., brilliant. Simply brilliant writing by Sophie Sullivan.
And the friendship was so cute and wonderful. I've always believed that a couple should be friends first. And this book was all of that. Of course I hate when conflict kicks in (and it always does), but it's necessary to all good stories. Fortunately they didn't last long like some other romance novels.
The banter between the brothers Wes, Noah and Chris was hilarious. I can't say enough about this book.
This was the third (and final) book of the series. I have actually read book two (How To Love Your Neighbor), but not one. I think they can be read as standalones. I will make sure to get "Ten Rules for Faking It" and put Sophie Sullivan as one of my go-to authors.

@just4him I didn't even know until I finished this book that it was connected to "How to Love Your Neighbor" which I already read last year. When I saw the author's comments at the end of the book saying she was happy to wrap up the boys' stories I had to look back and see that it was a series and I had already read #2.

@paigea From what I can tell, this is her debut series. There are only the two previous books listed on the inside cover.... I just looked her up on Goodreads, she has also written "Love, Naturally" and published a "Zendoodle" Coloring Book.

I am not really into romance novels, but I do agree that love should begin with friendship.

Sophie Sullivan sounds like an author I would enjoy reading. I love getting ideas for new authors and books here. I wrote down the names of this series.
