After adding the zafran the mutton biriyani looks like this. It is not only the effect of zafran but also jaifal, jaitri, shah zeera and shah marich. These are spices which by adding in very small quantities flavour is added in the biriyani. Similar amount of rice is used with similar amount of goat meat in the dish.

I've eaten and enjoyed goat meat flavored with saffron and other spices. You already know I won't eat rice. I can't remember what the other foods were that I sampled that night. It was back when I was 20 years old... almost 40 years ago. *shrug*

thanks DE this recipe is suitable for lamb biriyani as well. If you use the spices it will taste well

@sathviksouvik Pretty and I don't cook with lamb... I can't stand eating lamb after it gets cold. It has a weird after taste that I don't like. Even heating the lamb back up again doesn't make the weird taste go away.
