Will buildings replace trees?

In the current world, we see buildings everywhere skyscrapers, flats to mention a few. Trees are being cut to provide human settlement. I sometimes fear for the future generations, will they have trees? What's your take?

Watching how much Daytona's grown only in the last couple of years, I don't disagree with how you feel. I ask myself that everyday. I know there are some greenbelts (places where mankind isn't allowed to build) but if we over-populate, that could change.

Very true we are growing everyday as a population and housing becomes a challenge that we resort to actions that destroy our environment

It may happen, but in the immediate future, we may have no buildings left standing as well.

Wow your photo shows no green life at all. That makes me very sad. I have not lived near skyscrapers in years. I hope we will always have trees on earth. I see a walnut tree's branches out my window right now.

At least people are now starting to realise just how important trees are. It's sad to see trees replaced with roads and buildings.

Yes people are now more alert but efforts to restore our natural resources often times is hindered by the government who should be at the forefront to support such initiatives
