I have been on this road

It is a road leading to the Colorado mountains I was with my nephew and he was driving
The road was steep but not that one felt the steep. It was gradual. My nephew warned me once up there I may have breathing difficulties But I could breathe normally
Up there we had lunch at a restaurant He ordered for buffalo wings. Until that dish reached our table I was not sure what that was all about A buffalo conjured up in my head. But I pretended I knew all about Buffalo wings
Then we visited a small shop where they were selling among other things maple syrup, We bought a bottle. Nothing like tasting syrup that is original His wife prepared pancakes. Pancakes and maple syrup is a great combination.
There was a bit of snow but not much. I played a bit on the snow - something new for me.
Returned creating wonderful memories and what I have posted here are my memories of a long long time ago

This is generally regarded as one of the best roads to drive in the world. This section is between Silverton and Ouray. As there is no side barrier and often a long drop it demands driving with care and in Winter is very hazardous. Notwithstanding the need

This was after the package tour of the US. My nephew stays in Fort Collins and I spent a fortnight with them.

It is only after reading on the Net I came to know that it is one of the 10 most dangerous roads in the world But I have happy memories.

@allknowing The roads themselves are not inherently dangerous, it's the drivers! But anyway you survived the experience

When I went to Colorado I drove to meet someone there and also went to Colorado Springs but do not remember what road I took. We have scary roads here too in Israel.

@allknowing I have never been in the mountains in Colorado. I have been in the mountains area in the countryside of Panama where my late mom had a home in the mountains area in the Cocle province.

It sounds like a trip you will never forget. So how were the buffalo wings? Did you taste the bufffalo in them? I drove cross country many years ago and was in Colorado and cannot remember what route I took.
