Subway workers in New York City alerted the New York Police Department (NYPD) on Sunday that a cat was trapped in a subway tunnel with a feather boa on the cat.
Thanks to the teamwork of the NYPD and NYC Transit employees were able to get the cat out of danger.
The NYC Transit workers then took the female cat named Bugle to the New York City Animal Care Shelters where Bugle will be placed up for adoption.
It is not known if Bugle got caught in the feather boa by herself or someone placed the feather boa on her.

I am glad the cat was rescued but if I saw a cat in a feather boa I would think I was seeing things. I am a writer with a writer's imagination. Do you know what I think? That cat was a woman and someone turned her into a cat because women like to wear feather boas,

I was thinking the same thing based on a Spanish speaking comedy that I see on reruns on You Tube where on the characters who is old and eccentric is called "Witch of 71" where she lives in a neighborhood in Mexico City by the kid characters on the show.

When I saw the title, I was thinking of another type of boa, a boa constrictor, a snake, it was lucky, in one way, that it was not a boa constrictor, it might have been harder to save the cat then.
I believe, though, that the feather boa, was named after the snake, as it resembles a snake, when worn.

@Deepizzaguy I suppose it was rather an obvious connection to make... Lol...

The same thought ran through my mind based on the headline the cat was battling a snake myself.

I am also happy to share the good news that Bugle was adopted after a social media post asked anyone who wanted the pet to adopt their dog.
