Happy Friday! I have to take my car in this morning and get an estimate for brake work. Can you just imagine how thrilled I am with that? I don't think they will be able to get it done today though..although it would be nice if they could. They are slow there. Friend is coming down today to drive me around..but I may have to arrange something for next week with them, if I have to bring it back. I need the car for the weekend. Whats on tap for you?

I can tell that you are thrilled to have to get the brake estimate.
I hope that the branch is out from underneath of the car by now.
I remember you said that you would need to be getting an estimate, now I know why.
Its a dark and raining day here today.
I am working, not feeling the greatest (coming down with a cold) and doing a couple of loads of laundry.

Well they called and it is less than I was anticipating so Hallejuah! If I had taken it to one of the city garages,,,it was have been twice that or more..even another garage in the smaller town...a rip off place would have charged double. I got lucky...of course I am still waiting for the car..

@Juliaacv That could happen. Thank God they didn't charge alot for the brakes. It is a family owned business and they are nice to their customers...

@snowy22315 We had to do the brakes on both my old car as well as my hubby's SUV roughly around the same time. It was costly, but not near as costly as a muffler replacement was going to be.
They are a single piece and run from the engine back to the back end of the car. Talk about pricey.
His SUV still sounds loud, but for the cost of replacing that one piece we will just turn the radio up and put up with it. It sounds worse inside of the car then outside of it so we do not have any fears of being pulled over because of it.

It was warmer here this AM than it is now. I just had to put on a sweater. My main chair is in bad shape, but it is comfy. I have a secondary recliner that is better.

@RebeccasFarm I was just hearing about the tornadoes ripping through Little Rock. That is gonna be a mess. I heard massive casualties. I guess they will have more on the 6:30 national news.

Hope your car is a quick and easy fix for you. I know it's hard being without a car even if it's only for a few hours.
Nothing going on here today. My daughter got her tooth extracted early this morning so it's going to be a quiet day here. Fingers crossed she'll start feeling better soon.

I am sure eventually it will. I spoke to the garage, and I think they can get it done today, and it won't be that expensive. Halejuah! They are nice people there and really charge a fraction of what other places do.
