Still working on my latest pairs of coasters.

I am taking it really slow with the three sets of coasters I'm working on right now. The two that are stained (shown) will wind up with felt bottoms. The unstained ones may wind up with no felt bottoms.
I'm at the stage now where I'm layering on thin coats of polyurethane to protect the coasters from water (or alcohol or coffee, as the case may be). The longer I wait between applying coat of polyurethane, the better the previous coat has "cured," if that's the right term. Subsequent coats go on more smoothly.
Maybe I'll turn these over and add some more "poly" to the bottoms. The tops feel dry, but I want to wait a day or two before adding another coat. The eyes can lie, but the nose knows.
Wish me big happy joy joy in my work!

Why do some of your coasters show a wood grain and others don't? Is it just the way they're laying? Like always, they look beautiful

@TheHorse Oh, I see... They're still really pretty... If I had the money, I'd buy a pair from you.

That is nice looking. Is it made from wood?
