Melinda Wright who is a single mother was with her three children when they left a concert at the Capital One Arena in Washington D C on Thursday.
When Melinda found a wallet on the ground that had $300 dollars inside, she saw the address inside of the wallet.
Belinda then sent the wallet containing the money with a note attached via air mail back to the owner of the wallet.
When her good deed was recorded on social media, Belinda not only received praise from the readers on social media. Belinda received $500 dollars from a stranger for her act of honesty.
Lesson to be learned is that good deeds get rewarded in time.

Not many people would return a wallet with money inside would return the wallet with money inside since in their view of the word is that the Golden Rule is "Possession is nine tenths."

That is very true since most persons use their version of the Golden Rule to their benefit by saying that they found a wallet and since they possess it, it s theirs to keep the money.

That is very true since being honest these days is a sign of weakness.

Of course, she couldn't know for sure if the owner did get that wallet, unless they contacted her, and told her so.
Maybe the address in the wallet was an old address, or maybe the address was of his mother, or a friend. An address on an ID card might be more relied upon, but even that can be out of date.
Using the mail here, the money might have been pilfered by the Post Office staff, as we are advised never to post money in the mail. My brother took the risk a few times of sending me $50, or $100, for my birthday, and they were both lost, or pilfered, in the mail. I never did see them.
She would have had to register the mail to ensure the right person signed for it.
I would have just handed it in to a Police Station, I think.
Wanting credos by posting a good deed on social media, seems to be a bit much to me too.
Lucky, some Good Samaritan gave her $500, but just the same, I would not have posted such a thing myself. A good deed is better kept quiet about, I think.

@Deepizzaguy Yes, even when we pray, we are advised by Jesus Christ to go into our closet, or into a private place, to pray.
Public chest beating type prayers do not cut it with God.

According to God's Word, it is best to keep your honorable quiet since none of us want to be called a showoff.
