The salad I made today was delicious. / myLot

Today I made a salad for Anita and for myself with only bits of this and bits of that. I cut up with my fingers in little pieces the rest of the salmon I baked a few days ago. I washed and schredded a few lettuce leves and cooked and diced a potato and half a carrot. I dressed it with a bit of salt, olive oil, lemon juice and a bit of homemade mayo. I shared it with Anita andfor our main dish I cooked some pasta and covered it with part of the ossobuco sauce. I´d call that what Coral (@Thesojourner) calls frugal living. It was very good and even Luna had her share. She washed the rest of the onions in the salmon pan to take off the salt, blended it with water and gave it to Luna. She devoured it!

I'm glad the salad was delicious! I ate some of the Shepherd's Pie that was made two days ago. YUM! I'm thinking about cooking some pasta tonight for supper.

It was. And I was just trying to use some leftover salmon that was too little to serve it in another way. I do this sometimes with canned tuna but it is not the same.

Your salad sounds delicious, Glad to hear that Luna got something good for herself too, I agree with everyone here onions should not be given to dogs,

She has not complained. And I didn´t know. Many years ago, when my first dog was very ill the vet asked me if I could cook for her. I agreed immediatly. He wrote down what I should give her and I was shocked to see potatoes. Everyone had told me that dogs could not eat them. I asked the vet and he told me that that was one of the many miths about what dogs could not eat.
