The use of chlorine in swimming pools is very much regulated.

April 5, 2023 9:01pm CST
Resorts which maintain open air swimming pools have a serious task of maintaining the water quality. Chlorine is applied in he water. There are possibilities of leaves and other natural resources falling on water due to breezes. But the chlorine level is well maintained because excess chlorine make eyes irritated and create stains in the body as well.

As a young man, I worked at a motel and took care of the swimming pool. It took a lot of work to keep the pool clean and ready for the guests to use.

thanks DE how did you clean the water? Did you put ferric oxide, chlorine or something else?

@sathviksouvik We used chlorine to clean the water and a net on a long pole to get any foreign debris from the pool. Sometimes I had to use a large amount of chlorine to "shock" the pool and get it back in safe limits.

the chlorine level is hard to keep constant. We used to check every morning before the kids went in the pool.

I have exercised in classes in three different pools now. The first two had constant issues with keeping their pool clean- kids would dirty it etc. Too often the pool would be closed and we couldn't have our class.

Indeed, excess chlorine in water irritates eyes. The chlorine level of some of the pools here is not well maintained.
