A couple who saw a female dog that was seen running in the streets of Lodi California on Wednesday when they decided to stop and assist her. The dog after seeing the couple decided to run underneath the car of the couple. The problem was the female dog was trapped under their car. The couple than called the Lodi Fire Department who sent firefighters who came to the area where the female dog was trapped inside the car engine by taking apart the car engine to free the dog. The good news is that the pup was not harmed and she was taken to a local animal shelter where the dog is waiting to be reunited with her owner. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/...

The dog most likely ran away from her owners or she was a stray dog running on the streets.

The same feeling I have since it would break my heart to see a dog get killed by an auto engine running while the dog is trapped inside.

It was good that the dog was rescued, but I hope the fire department put the engine back together again for the couple. Also, lucky for the dog, that if the couple did not know it was stuck in their car engine, and they had of driven off with the dog there, it would have been a very unhappy situation then for all concerned, especially for the dog. It happened to me once. I did not know that a neighbour's cat was resting perhaps for warmth in the engine of my car. I drove off, but the cat, being small, was lucky enough to drop to the ground again, missing my wheels, and scarry quickly to safety. It never rested in my car again after that scare, having learnt from the experience.
