Probably one of the most colorful, wonderful and controversial persons who has ever lived is Jesus Christ. There are many different thoughts and opinions about him. To some he was: an imposter, a wise teacher, a prophet and even the Almighty God, etc. If someone asked you, who do do think Jesus is? From what you have learned, what would you answer? What are your thoughts on Jesus Christ. Who do say he is?

It is interesting the way that the apostle Peter answered the question in Matthew 16:15-16.

@AnneW21 Yes, we can praise Jesus for the many wonderful things he did and does. When Jesus was on earth even young children gave him praise. Matthew 21:15 (Easy-to-Read Version) 15 The leading priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he was doing. And they saw the children praising him in the Temple area. The children were shouting, “Praise to the Son of David.” All this made the priests and the teachers of the law angry.

God is behind every life, and he was behind Jesus's life too, but as Jesus came from God directly, as a part of God, not created by God, Jesus could have his power with his blessings to do his job here, and play the role of a saviour, and a king, both at the same time.

So true! I find it interesting that many times Jesus is referred to as the Son of God". John 20:31 (King James Version) 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

@innertalks Yes, they are different persons but they act as one, in agreement, in unity. We have a choice. We can become one with them or not.

@kanuck1 And Jesus often referred to God as his father too, whilst, at other times, he said that God and he, are one. They are one, I think, but they can still function sort of separately in their roles too, especially, like this, when Jesus, was given a human body to work with, and through, too. It was obviously meant to show us, that God, has a son, but at the same time, they act as one together too.

Well, first I would say he was sent by God as a savior to forgive our sins. Joseph was his legal father, but the Holy Spirit made it possible for Mary to conceive, as she was a virgin. Jesus was a prophet and teacher who lived among us as a holy man, but whose powers went beyond this Earth, for he was the son of God. Jesus and God were one as it states in the Gospel and whose word I believe.

Yes, he was and is many things. An identifying mark that appears over 50 times is "the Son of God". John 20:31 (Authorized (King James) Version) 31 but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
