Fears And Fantasies.

Name one or two of your biggest fears and just one thing you love to fantasize about. Unless of course you are a completely fearless person and you do not fantasize ever. Two things that l would really hate is 1 - being trapped in an elevator and 2 - being attacked by a wild animal. My usual fantasy is owning my own island.. I know one of the greatest fears of some people is growing old. That has never bothered me, but l won't mind slowing the process. So what are some of your fears and fantasies? Pixabay image

I fear dying in a fire. I've pretty much given up on fantasies. I spend my imaginative energies on the stories for my books.

One of my fears is to die and be in utter darkness. And the nice one is, I like to dream of living by the sea again.

Think of the light at the end of the tunnel. Your nice dream could become a reality one day.

I sort of fear flying. On take off, I always lift my feet off the floor, though I know it does nothing. Fantasy: A Zoom meeting with all the "selves" I have been since age 6.

I know the takeoff is kind of the most technical, but that is the only part of flying l like. In fact , l would prefer not to have to fly at all. I hate being anywhere where l cannot open a door and get out when l want to.

@Kandae11 Landings are no fun either.

@JamesHxstatic l don't like landings, especially when the plane keeps circling and not making an attempt to land. Naturally you wonder what is going on.

I have a huge fear of snakes and spiders. My fantasy is stepping foot on all 7 continents - 2 to go.

@Kandae11 Australia and Antarctica to go. I’m too afraid of the snakes and spiders in Australia so it may only be Antarctica lol. With terrorism and covid, we haven’t traveled too far, except for Malta.

I wouldn't like to be trapped in a room or small space. And I guess one of my worst fears would be getting burnt badly.

Like an elevator. I love wide open spaces, one of the good things about country life.

1. Fear - Fire in the apartment. That happened once. Fortunately, it was just a small fire. No body got hurt. 2. Fantasy - Explore the underwater world.

I am also fascinated by underwater life , l wrote a short story based on life there some years ago. I make sure my house keys are always in the same place and never live in a house or apartment without at least two exits.

I too have never worried about old age. Ageing gracefully is what I am experiencing My fear is encountering snakes and my fantasy would be to convert Solitaire into an old age home

I would like to have wings to fly around the world and visit different places. I have a fear of enclosed places.

I'm scared of heights and falling. And no, those aren't the same thing. Pretty doesn't let me climb ladders anymore because I get dizzy. And I get dizzy just walking around if I turn my head too quickly. If some sound startles me, I WILL turn to see what the sound was and lose my balance. If I think I've seen something from the corner of my eyes, I WILL turn my head to see what it is/was and down I go... Pretty keeps telling me to stop turning my head... the doctor tells me to stop turning my head... *sigh* Pretty keeps saying she's going to put one of those cones people use to keep dogs from biting at a wound on me to make me stop turning my head...

@Kandae11 The doctors can't find a reason for it to happen.

It is a natural reflex action, the question is - why does it make you dizzy and what remedy is there.

That shark is a fear. I have been bitten by jellyfish in the gulf waters before. I too would love to have my own island, away from everyone.

@Kandae11 And no people, no drama, those are my first reasons to be there. Jellyfish stings are very painful.
