This is taking forever

Right now our kitchen cabinets do not go all the way to the ceiling. That is not good because a lot of grease accumulation occurs on top of the top cabinets, which is hard to get off.
We want to remodel the kitchen and put cabinets all the way to the ceiling. Problem is there are pipes above one section of the cabinets, which prevents us from doing so.
Our contractor said he can move part of the wall a bit where the pipes are. But that means we still can’t get the entire cabinet all the way to the ceiling. The cabinets will have to be custom made. In the front they will go all the way to the ceiling but in the back they will be lower.
The kitchen guy told my mother-in-law that he wants to talk with our contractor about this. I gave her the contractor’s number to pass on to the kitchen guy. Still have not heard back from him or her. I hope she passed on the info.
This is taking forever. At this rate our kitchen will never get remodeled and the contractor may book other clients and we will be left without him and will have to end up looking for someone else.

Not really. My MIL has to call the kitchen guy and have him come in. She has not done that yet.

We too have our kitchen units midway but the top is dusted regularly. Getting them up to the ceiling would pose problems when one cannot reach there to get things unless they are dummies.

I hope that doesn't come down to that, but Reno work can take forever.

It really is atrocious these contractors and going so slow.
Sorry to hear it Lena.
I can see what you mean about the grease ..good you will have them all the way to the ceiling.
Love your gas stove.
I prefer gas stoves to cook but will you be getting a new one now?

Oh no, sorry to hear about that. My daughter's (only) bathroom remodel is painfully slow too. She has a Portapotty in front of her house. It is locked, but has been broken into twice. This has been going on for about three weeks now. She showers at a friend's house.
