Tubs of tulips are brightening up Ballina, Ireland

Flower beds in Europe always look fresh and bright to me compared to those we have in Australia. And tulips are a flower I don’t see too often as, where I live, mostly it’s not cold enough for them to grow well. I loved the tubs of tulips which are prominent in Ballina, Ireland, at the moment. There are a lot of other lovely flowers around too. We still haven’t heard much about the movements of Joe Biden when he arrives but I guess it makes sense to keep the details of his movements under wraps.

Tulips are a favorite flower of mine but I don't have them in my garden. But I do crochet tulips. Last February, I got tons of orders of crocheted tulip flowers.

@toniganzon That's wonderful. I wonder if they'd sell in Australia.

According to the news e should be there from today until April 14th. This is what I found online U.S. President Joe Biden will visit Ireland and Northern Ireland from April 11-14 to mark the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday pace accord on one side of the Irish border and visit his ancestral home on the other, the White House said on Wednesday.

@LadyDuck I'm not sure we'll try to attend his 'speech'. It is starting to get beyond a joke.

Quite beautiful flowers indeed! How is the weather in Ireland as of now? Are you traveling to different places a lot or is it more localised as of now?

We do see them in our part of the world but not is such quantities. They really need colder weather than what we have.

I love tulips but they are not found here. We spot them in florist shops sometimes and they are way too costly. I remember our cycle ride in Amsterdam..We saw so many bright tulips on the sides. It felt like heaven

They grow them in great quantities in Holland. It would have been lovely to see them en masse.

They do grow them in farms but not here. Joe Biden is visiting Ireland and is coming to the town where we're staying. With luck, we might get to see him.

Our council has a scheme for planting a variety of flowers in town centres and wild flowers alongside roads. Very nice
