11 April - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a good day. The sun shone all day, the breeze was gentle, and the temps were warm in the 70s. It's 74 F right now. It did get to 75 F briefly. I'm thankful for the ability to walk. It took about an hour this morning before the stiffness was gone and I could move about without thinking about my walker sitting in my bedroom. I'm thankful I have it for those days when walking is difficult. It's hard getting old. I'm thankful for the breath of life. It's so good to be alive and to enjoy everything God has for me. I'm thankful for the Internet that brought me to this site and to you. Getting to know you through the short blogs brings us all closer. I'm thankful for the Bible study this morning. I'm the new woman on the block and I finally feel totally accepted by the group of wonderful women. I'm thankful for food. After Bible study this morning, I went shopping for bananas. I got a couple of other items too that I'm out of. Nothing major. I then went to the service desk to find out why my store card doesn't show registered when they scan it. It's taken care of now. I registered it when I got it, but they never recognize me when I give it to them. Now, they will. I'm thankful for the work I did on Where Eagles Soar. The book just continues to get better with each page. I'm still hoping to have it published this month. I'm thankful for getting the notifications caught up. I'll get the new batch caught up too when I post this. I'm thankful for longer daylight hours. I know it means it's spring and winter is now gone, but I do like long daylight hours.
