I bought my Glucose meter last month. I was so busy that I don't have the time to test it on my blood. Today I have enough time to play with it and test my blood sugar. It is my first time using a glucose meter so the feeling of anxiety is intense. Because this is my first time to use I was worried about the pain when the needle touch my finger tip. LOL I was thinking maybe it's painful LOL. But the Glucose meter that I bought says PAINLESS. LOL So I tried it, and it is true it is PAINLESS. Thanks GOD. And the result of my Glucose meter was 74. It means my blood sugar is normal. But I'm skeptical because I already ate "Insulin Plant" in the morning before I tested my blood, maybe that was the reason my glucose is normal? What do you think? LOL

That maybe so. I think you should do it before you eat or drink your medicines to see how your sugar is when you have not taken in any food or medications. Then you should also try to test after a meal so you can somehow measure the increase/decrease in levels after eating.

Yes, I'm going to test again multiple times to confirm if I'm really diabetic.

@solidcodes But I think you should not do that on a daily basis though.

@rsa101 A person with diabetes need to test his or her blood thrice daily. or twice daily morning and evening. Because when the blood sugar is above normal it can damage the retina of the eyes. and the nervous system and damage the heart also. so sugar blood testing is imperative for diabetic people.

I don't know but 74 is a great score! Do you have an issue with diabetes or are you just making sure your blood sugar is in the normal range?

when the time comes and you often urinate. It is a sign that you have diabetes. If you want to confirm your body if you real;ly have diabetes. then test your blood with glucose meter.

Is it painless? What brand is it? It's good that your sugar level is normal. If you're taking diabetes medications, it will indeed lower your blood sugar/glucose levels. Stay healthy.

I am worried I might get diabetes because it runs in the family and I put sugar in my coffee which I prepare 4-5 times a day. Im glad it is painless although I am puzzled how that could be since it will have to prick you.
