Laser lights in Joe's honour

My husband and I registered to attend the address of US president, Joe Biden when he comes to Ballina in Ireland. His ancestral home is immediately behind where we are staying and we’re a bit hopeful that he might walk down our laneway to view the home. While we have few opinions either way about Joe, it’s a novelty for us to be in such a situation.
Because we registered, we’ve now had an email about attendance. We are not to take any bottles, glass or otherwise, so no water, no umbrellas, no guns (now THAT’S a surprise – NOT), no fold-up chairs, no backpacks or large bags, no cameras with removable lens, no other-things-that-I-can’t-remember.
We don’t think we’ll go down to the cathedral to listen to him. We would have to stand in the rain (perhaps) and cold (definitely) for maybe 3 or 4 hours. I think we’ll be more comfortable watching it on TV.
There are now a lot of barriers, a huge TV screen, laser lights and more around the cathedral. The photo is Vince's taken last night.

That's quite the picture. It's safer to stay home and watch it on TV.

I would rather stay in the house as well than be there in the crowd.
