A lot is being said about minimum sleep requirements but I know a few who hardly sleep but enjoy good health This minimum need requires further analysis
I sleep for around six to seven hours. I am an early riser - four in the morning is my normal time but sleep early too latest by 9. And then there is the most comfortable position while sleeping. I toss and turn.
Even when guests are around I leave them to follow their own sleep schedules.
Do you sleep well? What is your schedule and sleeping position?

Everyone is different. I knew a woman who only slept about 4 hours a night. The last couple of weeks I mostly have not slept good

As you say for some it is normal but in your case when you have always slept well may be you could look in to see what causes bad sleep

I normally sleep on my side but need to change position several times. And I also need to empty my bladder a couple of times.

Sleep is elusive to me and has been for many years.
I only sleep good once there is so much stress, my body and mind gives out.

There are ways one can induce sleep. Eating a boiled egg in the night it is reported helps, for example

If you are healthy that's all that matters. To each their own and so that story about needing 8 to 9 hours sleep needs further analysis

@allknowing I heard that adults need about six or seven hours of sleep.

I go to sleep at 10 p.m. and get up at 5 a.m. It's a long time habit. This does not mean that I sleep all the night long. I often wake up around 2, I fight to go back to sleep and I usually arrive to sleep another couple of hours before getting up.

As long as less sleep does not affect one's health I do not think it is of much concern.

@allknowing Not sleeping enough could be the cause of weight gain, memory issues, poor balance and troubles with concentrations. The important is to know how many hours are considered "enough" for us.

You are into a lot of activity that may include using your sleeping hours
