Trying the New Plan...

So the doctor gave me an idea to try when it comes to losing weight. He estimated that I was over eating by almost 200 calories based on how much weight I had gained. So to lose weight, I would need to cut that amount out, plus 200 more to start losing. But he said for a week or two to just track what I normally eat to get an idea of where my calories are on average. Then, to start cutting back. I may start in a week cutting out the 200 calories, then 300, then 400...etc. He still suggests eating as less sugar as possible. I will work on that slowly as well. I think in the past I jumped from high carbs/sugar to extremely low carbs/sugar and I couldn't last more than a couple days. and yes I will try to get back into working out too. What were my calories on day 1 of tracking just my normal diet? Almost 2,000. I did eat a couple extra things that I normally wouldn't. So I would probably say my normal range is probably 1,700 calories. But we'll see how it goes over the next 3 months doing this....see if I lose any weight.

Does he mean per day?

What per day? That I was over eating 200 calories a day?

@MommyOfEli2013 Yes does he mean 200 too many per day or week or what?

@RebeccasFarm per day, yes...and so to lose weight I need to stop eating those, plus 200 extra...

1,800 calories is what my husband eats every day. The Doctor told us little or less dairy products. Good luck with what you are going to do.

Well men can eat more, lucky them. My doctor said nothing about that, he just said less carbs/sugar.

I could probably still eat around 1,500 calories on days I work out; I apparently am way over eating! Today I had way over 2,000 calories. Yikes. However, the 3rd meal I would usually do without.

@MommyOfEli2013 Hmm... it's just the initial inertia that happens with everyone..You just push yourself for a while and slowly it would come naturally to you.. Don't do it for doctor..Do it for yourself..You are priceless

I don't really have motivation to start to be honest. But don't want the doctor to think I am a complete failure next time....

@arunima25 No, I don't think it is. I don't want to have to change. I am angry that I have to change. and I don't care about myself. If I didn't have my son and husband, I probably wouldn't even bother even going to a doctor. I don't want to be miserable the rest of my life with giving up calories, carbs, etc...
