Did Bing Read My Thoughts?

Every day, I ask the new Bing Bot a question or two, just to try it out.
Today, I thought about asking it how to write flash fiction. When I clicked on it, it showed writing tips without me asking. That is scary to me because I never asked it a question about writing before.
Did Bing read my thoughts? What do you think? Has AI ever read your thoughts?

@akalinus This is the first time I'm hearing about Bing Bot.But I don't think anything is impossible in this era of AI.However I'm not at all interested in these things.I have never used AI; nor do I know how to use it.

@akalinus I'm afraid the day is not far when computers would rule us.We are providing them with more powers than we have.If that happens;that day would be disastrous.

@Shivram59 Yes, I think we have to limit what they can do. We need to be in charge and turn it off or take a part out if things get too extreme.

No, AI isn't that pervasive yet. If you've been reading anything about writing, then the AI will know that and start giving you tips without you asking.

What are the possibilities if AI gets stronger? Do they look in the window at night?
I asked it questions about other stuff before. Yesterday, I heard about a writing contest for flash fiction. I went to ask Bing Bot a question about writing it and the answers were already there. How did they know that? I could have asked another question about fish, rivers, or dream interpretation.

@akalinus Your guess about the AI capabilities is as good as mine. I'm not a computer engineer. I hope somebody is actually keeping an eye on the programming and will notice if anything changes that wasn't introduced by a human... but, there's always the possibility that some of the engineers WANT the AIs to "wake up". *shrug* We can only trust that somebody is watching out for the welfare of humans.
How did you hear about the flash fiction contest? If you saw it online, then the AI would know that.

@DaddyEvil I'm not sure which site it was on. There is so much stuff like that. Most want a fee to enter so you would actually be paying someone to read your story. It is like a racket. Send $29 and we will read it to see if we like it.

Do you access this and other writing sites via Bing? That's probably why.

@Chellezhere Microsoft/Bing has undergone a transformation. The Bing part is run on AI.

We can hope but it probably could be true. The internet has become intrusive with no respect for privacy. Remember when Facebook said they keep our information private and then sold it to the highest bidders? Now, the apps seem to know what we are thinking.

@akalinus We have an unlisted phone number and address; yet it's all over the internet.
