Thanks to the concerns from an animal lover who lives in Greenwood Village Colorado who saw a baby fox who is about one month old who was trapped in a window well contacted the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO).
JCSO deputy Meg Stahl went to the home where the baby fox was staying at to rescue the animal in the nick of time since two hawks were looking at the baby fox as their meal.
Officer Stahl managed to get the baby fox out of harm's way and release the baby fox into the woods where the baby fox will rejoin his relatives.

A few years back, I had a call for rescue of a very small dog in a window well. When we got there, the poor thing was in bad shape, so dehydrated and legarthic. And, terrified. No one knew how long the dog had been there. After a stay at the vets and no one claiming the dog, it was adopted out to a lady who loves her so much, so it did have a good ending.
My oldest son has several window wells. After he heard of this, he made mesh covering for his and attached it to the sides of the window well, because he didn't want an animal to fall in. I am glad the little fox was saved. I have some little red foxes not far from my house, and once in a while, I see the babies out playing while mom watches.

Yes, she dearly loves that little dog. Named it Winnie, short for Window Well dog. Not real imaginative, but hey, it suits the little dog and the main thing is, they are both happy.
