24 April - What I'm Thankful for Today

Compared to yesterday, today was good. I didn't get everything done as I intended, but it was still a good day. I'm thankful for little things. The air I breathe, breath in my body, food on my table, gas in my car, a beautiful apartment and so many wonderful people here. I'm thankful for the Internet that brings me close to you. It makes the world a lot smaller when we can interact with each other, and learn about our different cultures and cuisines. I'm thankful for the friendships I've made here. I'm thankful for my trip to the library this morning. I needed to get my books ordered for the book club so I could pick them up when we're ready to start. It also meant I needed a library card. My last one expired. I haven't taken a book out of the library in years. The library has one drawback - you need to bring the books back that you take out. I have had many overdue books in my life. My sole purpose for the library card is for the book club. I'm thankful for getting my hair cut this afternoon. It really needed it. I'm thankful for the funeral information my brother just sent me. The funeral is Saturday morning and looks like it will be an all-day affair. I'm thankful I got my steps today. I upped my step goal yesterday to 9K. I have been getting over 10K for the past week. No, I won't go to 10K yet. I'm over 10K today. I'm thankful for the rain we're getting. We need it so badly. I saw the weather this morning and forgot they said it would rain today. It also looked iffy, so I didn't take it as gospel that we would actually see rain. It was raining when I came out of the hair salon. It's still raining. We're also supposed to get more rain tomorrow. GOOD! We need it. We're in a drought with severe wildfire danger. Okay, that's my day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading.
