A crowded railway station at 5.30 am

We had to catch an early morning train a couple of weeks ago. We reached the railway station well before 6 am and it was still so crowded. There were trains coming in every 5 minutes and lots of people getting on and off them. I guess there's never a time when it is empty at the railway stations in India!!

@pitstop I can understand a city like New York City which has an image of a city that never sleeps having a lot of persons at the train station early in the morning.

May 1st is our Labor Day, and we have a 5-day vacation. I believe there are many cars on many highways and many people at train stations nowadays. I don't plan to travel during this holiday, I don't want to be crowded, and I don't want to see dense crowds of people in the scenic area

I wonder if someone has tried to get off a train, but there were so many people trying to board it they get pushed back in?

It is quite a task on metros, but here it's usually only a handful that get on at every door

India to me seems absolutely crowded with people. I guess there are some parts where there are fewer.

This station is crowded but not packed, so there's always enough room to safely wait and board the train.

Railway stations are very crowded here early in the morning because of all the workers who come to work here from Italy.

That's interesting. The crowd here is a mix of workers, long distance travellers and some just going to places.
