I always worry a bit about dehydration in hot weather. It is going to be getting hot this summer and a person can get dehydrated by losing water from sweating, crying, each time they go to the bathroom and, even breathing. (Yeah, I didn't know that last one.)Water is usually restored in eating and drinking but, sickness, sweating, and exercise can take it from your body. I have learned the seriousness of dehydration through people I have known down through the years. But the way to not get dehydrated is by knowing some signs. So I went looking for ways to know if we are getting dehydrated. Here are a few ways to tell if you are dehydrated:
* Noticing some fatigue, memory, mental focus, or even a headache can mean we are dehydrated. Did you know more than half of your body weight comes from water? A good workout can actually lower how much blood you have for a while.
* If you are only needing to pee under four times a day and your urine is dark and has a bad odor.
* Feel cranky, lightheaded, confused, or dizzy.
* Children may have sunken eyes or not have a wet diaper.

My urine often has a bad odor I have a hard time I battle utis constantly.
I did know that with children and diapers and have experienced that with my own. My baby can be very hard to get to drink. I have to keep her drink in her reach at all times and encourage her.

If you find certain times during your day that are easy to remember it may help. For instance, I drink some water before each meal and, each time I go to the bathroom.

Very vital tips. It is best to stay hydrated especially during the summers.
When going out in high heat like in 35 C plus, do take a water bottle.
Also too much of tea or coffee can be counter productive in high heat.
