It seems Peppie does not belong to us any more

I have been watching Peppie's movements. He comes here just as any other stray would, Eats what is there and leaves the place. He is at different places As some of you know cats decide for themselves and there is nothing we can do about it. As long as he is healthy and visits us I will keep feeding him until he decides to come here as before occupying sometimes the bedroom, sometimes my computer chair, my favourite corner, the tv couch, watching tv........... the works I have moved on too.

My cat disappears for a couple of day during this season, but he always comes back home. I am glad to let him free to do what he wants to do.

That Peppie has been doing always but this is something new. He just comes for food and then vaishes.

@LadyDuck This is different. He just comes for food and leaves. He totally ignores Beckie even when Beckie gets close to him. Beckie now searches for him the entire house.

@allknowing - Gevi usually comes back home every evening, but he did the same last year, time by time he stayed away two days.

Oh bless you. Cats can be thankless sometimes. I do hope Peppie still comes to visit from time to time.

I think Peppie is going to take sometimes. Once he knows he is comfortable he will start occupying like he owns. We have neighbour's cats who often visit our home and backyards and sometimes sleeps in my brother's room but never become friendly to us. It's like "I know your existence so as you" type

Peppie will soon be five and this is the first time that he is behaving like this. The only time he stayed away was when some female was on heat. As long as he is healthy and comes here to eat I will accept tht

@allknowing I see ! then probably because of mating season! I remember cats actually mate in early Spring and autumn season but again I am not sure. Hope he is healthy.

sad to know that. Maybe Peppie was influenced by the other stray cats

That's the nature of cats. They don't get that natural loyalty to the house or the master like dogs too. It's good that you have moved on.. I am sure that you will get more like Peppie in the future who will need love and care

@allknowing These cats are giving a powerful message of moksha and Nirvana. You are here for a purpose but you don't belong here

@arunima25 I have to give credit to myself that I easily find that cut off line to move on. Peppie eats and that is enough for me. That is a great message indeed and thankfully I am ready for it.

That's a new development. Sometimes, one gets attached to her pet and looks for it when they are not around. I was also looking for the third kitten, when my granddaughter said, she has given it to someone. Because we have four already.

Sometimes our cat is missing too but she loved going inside the house and hang out. The problem is our dogs are angry at her

It must be a little bit disappointing though to have Peppie spending much less time with you.

Over a period of time I have learnt to accept situations over which I have no control . It is so different with cats. Dogs are never like this.
