Balloon vendor - a memory

Today I can get as many balloons I want and I have got them for several parties I have organised but it was not so in my childhood.
In those days balloons were not on the list of my parents. They had more urgent needs to fulfil. And when I used to see a balloon vendor I knew he was not going to stand at our door.
A friend once gave me a balloon which burst while blowing. I then broke it into pieces and blew into those pieces and made tiny balloons.

It is a different story now. Kids that I entertain get enough. Last party I had ordered for 200 ballons with emojis on them.

Indeed a kind gesture I do not remember getting any in my childhood and today I can buy them by the hundreds and those poor kids get to enjoy them

I liked balloons when I was a child but since money was tight, buying balloons only happened sparingly.
