We had some visitors and we entertained them with coke which was lying in the fridge - leftovers of a party I never drink coke but kept them company. I liked it so much that next day I got one big bottle for myself and entertained myself. A few days later I suffered lung congestion and the doctor told me it was that coke that was the cause and said I should not drink it. I am grateful for that lung congestion else I would have become addicted to coke. I am lucky, I never liked the taste of Coke. I keep a couple of cans in the refrigerator, just in case a guest would ask for it. No bad things came to my rescue.

@allknowing - Nothing comes to my mind right now. Do you know that the Coke is good to clean the bathroom toilet.? It's also good to remove rust. Imagine how bad it is on our teeth and our stomach.

Gosh! I love coke but I don`t get addicted to it. I only drink it sometimes when it is summer time and I am eating some grilled meat

I have never in my life heard of lung congestion being caused by drinking Coke. That is very odd, but very interesting.

@allknowing I always drink mine cold because I can’t tolerate room temperature or warm colas. During the summer, frozen Cokes are really popular at local fast food restaurants. But I’m glad you never ended up never developing a problem since this situation stopped your consumption.

I am not a huge fan of soda. I don’t like how it causes me to burp so much. It makes people gain weight too and is terrible for our bodies. I can’t drink it as I get utis so easily. Once in a great while if I see a new flavor or am at a party and am tired I drink one. I love Mountain Dew.
