Wasn’t able to get Queen tickets

Last month my cousin asked me if I wanted to go see Queen + Adam Lambert in concert. I went to look for tickets but they were already sold out for the first show.
Thought I’d be able to get tickets to the second show as it wasn’t on sale yet.
Went to Ticketmaster the day the tickets went on sale but a few hours later. Everything was already sold out, except a few premium seats for ridiculous money.
I guess for very popular concerts/artists you gotta go online to Ticketmaster a bit before they actually go on sale and join the queue if you really wanna get tickets.
I’m bummed. Maybe someone will resell them. I think Brian May said that they did it so people reselling cannot sell for more than face value. I hope that will be true.
I wonder if my cousin was able to get tickets anywhere else...

I was listening to Queen this morning on my drive to work and was thinking it would be cool to see them in concert if they ever came to Florida.
Interesting fact: about a dozen years ago I was dating a news reporter from our local tv station, and she got assigned to interview Brian May when he was in the area for a Queen show. The tv station is a small market station, so reporters didn’t get assigned cameramen to accompany them on assignments, so the reporters had to haul and set up the cameras and then do the interviews all by themselves. I went along to help her with the interview, and I got to briefly meet Brian May. He is such a fascinating guy!

@moffittjc This reminded me that I never got to go to my Elton John concert because of the vaccine mandate at the time. That was more disappointing than the money I spent on the ticket. And then the mandate was lifted a week later, which made it even more of a disappointment.

Buying concert tickets is something I have not done yet. I might try to buy one later on though.

Concerns sell out as soon as they go on sale. I wonder if bots involved and if many buying just to resell for much higher price.

I wasn't sure if I was gonna go at first. But then decided I was gonna go. Bummed that I couldn't get a ticket. Wonder if any went on resale yet.

They looked at another website. I never got tickets there so not sure how legit they are. Vividseats or something like that is the name.

The concert is in October of this year. Maybe I will be able to find a ticket closer to the event.

That should not be allowed, especially if tickets are resold for ridiculous prices.
