The tapering sound of those bells

Sitting in my favourite corner I relive memories of my travel and this memory comes back. It was in Switzerland. We took a cable car at Engelberg to reach the railway station for our journey to Jung frau.
There were cows grazing - well maintained cows and they had bells round their neck. The sound of those bells were pleasing to the ear. And as we climbed the height sitting in the cable car we could still hear those sounds but tapered.
How could I have ever forgotten that sound?
What memory lingers with you?

@allknowing I guess riding up the train on Pike’s Peak in Colorado. The journey gave me quite a view, but the snow flurries on top of the mountain were unexpected, and provided a crispness we hadn’t gotten below the mountain.

@AmbiePam What a memory that is. That took me to my Amtrak train journey - straight 200 KM from San Jose along the sea coast.

@LadyDuck What a cute looking lamb is that but do they have bells round their neck?

@allknowing We does, because there is a farm down the road at walking distance from us. They also have many lambs and sheep.

And when there are several it is kind of a gentle opera.
