I saw my sister and niece last Friday, and we started reminiscing with my dad about when we had first moved to the house he lives in now. A lot of things that had happened early on were brought up in conversation, including stories my niece had never heard about since it involved my mother (her grandmother) who is now in Heaven. My dad's new wife was also there, and we shared stories about unusual happenings in the neighborhood from 20 years ago that she had no clue about. Neighbors she knew now, used to be different when me, my dad, and mom first moved in. So she got some amusing stories from us.

There are times that I would like to reminisce many things through pictures and music that reminds me of something I did in the past that recalls good memories. But I do not do that all the time.

@Jenaisle That is correct. I do not want to be stuck in the past. But there are times looking back could help you move smoothly to the future.

Memories are fine but honestly I prefer just living and creating new ones, I am 73 and too many of my memories involve people and pets that have passed away a long time ago.

Yeah, I often share my unique experience with BTS even in my old age and some of my relatives just smile, but almost all of my grandkids understand me. They are ARMYs. What you said about re-reading conversations/letters is a great way to feel the joy once again. touche.

@Jenaisle What a cool kids! anyway i'm a bit wonder. Who is your bias in BTS? Is there a specific person? Or do you like all of them? My top love language are quality time and words of affirmation. I guess that's reason why I love re-reading old conversation.

I love reminiscing about my childhood mostly now I am in my late fifties. I love sharing them when the person I am talking with won't get bored. I love my childhood, teenage, and adult years. I had a wonderful past when I was growing up, I won't forget all about it. I love thinking about it and I won't stop. If only I could go back to my childhood again.
