In the Makruzz ship there are chances of having sea sickness.

Makruzz ship is a lovely ship which takes travellers from Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar Islands to Havelock Island. It is a short 2 and half hours journey. It is a double decker ship. But when the ship travels fast and there are turbulent waves travellers can face sea sickness. There is air conditioned rooms in the ship.

Did you or your family face seasickness when you went on the ship?

yes DE when I went from Andaman to Havelock first my elder son vomited. Then my wife. Then myself. I learned the trick in Andaman. When I returned in the same ship a week later I did not eat anything 2 hours before the journey, then nothing happened.

@sathviksouvik I'm sorry you all got sick. I've never gotten seasick but I've only been on large lakes and rivers, never on the open ocean. I'm glad you learned how to avoid seasickness. (You do know that trick doesn't work for everyone? A friend of mine tried that and still had dry heaves the entire time he was on a boat on the lake. He only threw up stomach acid. He felt bad for an hour after he reached the shore.)

I have sea sickness. If I go on a cruise vacation, I have to take pills.

thanks Cheung for the information. It is very difficult to avoid vomiting in turbulent seas

It's an awful feeling to be seasick. I much prefer really big ships.

thanks Judy if the ships pass through calm seas and oceans travellers enjoy them. For example Pacific Ocean is calm. But Indian ocean is turbulent.
