It is sad that the low cost carriers like Jet Lite had left the airlines market

In India Jet Airways stopped operation. But it is sad. I remembered that I travelled with my family in Jet Lite flight from Calcutta to Port Blair. At that time there were good service of the cabin crew and staff. Even food could be bought in the flight. Low cost carriers are affordable by bigger section and are helpful in covering long distances in short time.

I once traveled on a Jet Airways flight to Newark (New York area) in US via Brussels, Belgium. It was a good plane and although I feel a bit of turbulence and discomfort in an Airbus than a Boeing, it was a worth remembering trip. Jet was a big player in its heydays but this is the harsh reality now. May be they expanded too much or had too many losses that kept on accumulating.

thanks Ocean there is a lot of nostalgia with these flights. I had a lecture and went to Thailand in Jet Airways. There were TVs infront of the seats and excellent fooding. I miss the lovely service they gave

Air fares are very expensive at the moment but I don't suppose they will go down in the near future. Competition is good I think.
