Haven’t gotten back into writing my new book

I still haven’t gotten back into writing more poetry for my new poetry book Seasonal Memories that I started some time ago. I have no idea why. It’s not going to write itself.
I have to open the manuscript file and just write. I can always edit the stuff or even delete it if I am not satisfied with it at all. And yet I don’t even try, which is not good.
It shouldn’t matter whether people will want to buy the book or not. I should do it for me. And yet I can’t get myself to do it. How the heck do I motivate myself to get back into it?

We all get into those spells, sometimes just writing helps. Don't think just feel and let it go. When I get really badly stuck I read, reading sometimes helps me relax and my brain kick start. Sometimes seeing other people's stuff is what I need. I was stuck for like a month before I could write. I read a bunch of books.

@lovebuglena I write paranormal romance novels. Have two books, working on the second edition before I complete my 3rd book.

I never try to push it when I don't feel like writing. The inspiration will come. Just give it time. Have a good weekend.

Writing can be hard sometimes but writing a book is easier than trying to get people to buy it.

Just don't push it, write when you feel like it. It has to be something you want to do. If you really want to do it, you'll get it done.

First and for most we should write for ourselves. Though some will say that if we want to make money we have to write for the reader and not for ourselves.

@lovebuglena Yes you should be able to..have you tried listening to authors on YouTube to see what and how they are able to sell their books?

Of course, I want to be able to make money with my books. But it's also about the fact that no sales means no readers. And I can't just hand out books for free. Maybe if I was a millionaire. But I am not one, so can't afford to do that. Besides, if others can make money with their books I should be able to do the same.
