flowering plants

Whenever I find ants carrying food around my flower pots I understand it is going to rain.

Ants are very busy insects. But they anticipate the need for storing food. Whenever I find the ants carrying food and travelling towards their homes around my flowering plants in pots in the balcony I understand it is going to rain. It has happened a number of times. So I can anticipate it.

thanks DB by the time it rains heavily the ants get into the holes

thanks Jenaisle yesterday I saw the ants in the evening. Thereafter it rained.

My mother would see ants running around more than usual and say that it meant it would rain soon.
