Some people like being poky for no reason at all.

A few days back the facility manager at my son's apartment came to me in the evening when my son was in the office and told me not to keep the garbage bag outside the door but the dustbin bucket along with the garbage back. He also told me that some residents were complaining about it. Now the garbage collector wants only the garbage bag along with the waste as it's easier for him. He just has to pick up the bag and not over turn the dustbin. That's what I replied to the facility manager firmly. My son had been doing the same thing for months and the residents ( two adjacent flats old ladies who don't have any work I think but creating trouble), were mum. They were silent as my son was working from home. The day he joined office they started the trouble the next day.
Don't you think some people are unnecessarily poky and stupid? Seeing my firm attitude they kept watching me standing at their entrance while I gave the facility manager my piece of mind.
Women in India old or young are still thought to be easy target. It's only when we strike back they move back. I faced the same situation when my husband and me shifted to our home in Rourkela after his retirement. I had a tough time putting down some old bullies both young and old.
Is it same situation in your country?

I did as I knew they were being just picky as those neighbours don't use garbage bags for their dustbin.

In India the scenario is different. Metropolitan cities are more troublesome than small cities.

In India nowadays, senior citizens have lost respect. Some bullies find them weak try to harass them. These two women who are also senior citizens were trying to be oversmart.

@aninditasen Yes and as you say, they like to do that. For no reason.

@RebeccasFarm That's their sadistic pleasure which should be opposed vehemently.

We have to fight for our dignity. There are lot of people around to degrade it.

People here just ignore busybodies and do what we want. As long as we aren't breaking any laws, the busybodies can only talk... and who cares if they talk?

@aninditasen Some people here can't ignore busybodies, too. It's understandable if you felt strongly about the topic so had to make a reply... I'm glad you did it where the busybodies could hear you so they'd not try that again. I know vanny has had to put busybodies in their place before, too.

In this matter I couldn't ignore. I had to reply to the facility manager of the apartment and reason out.

Bullies are everywhere. Glad that's it's not that bad there.

Good for you, for taking a stand. I heard women in India have been known to be treated poorly. Granted, women everywhere aren't treated as well as men, but some countries are far worse. We have our issues in America, but not nearly like you have to deal with. I admire your fortitude.

Thanks for your encouraging words. In India women are their own genders enemy. It's two women in the adjacent flats who complained.
