This story is very odd since as a former owner of a parrot myself in all of the years that my relatives and myself owned a parrot, the parrot that I used to own never went outside of my relatives home to get some exercise by going outdoors. A macaw parrot that calls Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence Rhode Island who in the company of two other macaw parrots went outside of the zoo on Wednesday to get some exercise. What happened next is very odd since the three macaw parrots were picked up by high winds which sent the macaw parrots flying away from the zoo area to another area of the city about four or five miles away. Vicki Scharfberg who is a spokesperson for the zoo reported the good news was that one of the parrots was seen on a power line outside of the home of Cranston resident Julia Bedard's home. Julia contacted the zoo officials to pick up the parrot who goes by the name Rainier and take the parrot back home to the zoo. The zoo officials were able to locate the other two missing parrots in the same area shortly after and return all of the parrots back to the zoo safe and sound. Julia says that the parrots will continue to get their exercise outside of the zoo the next day since parrots will not make any efforts to escape. Link is upi.com/7661684428953 via @upi

That's a bit amazing that they come back to the zoo after they've had their exercise outside.

That is what I was thinking that the parrots did come back to their home after the zoo officials found them near their home outside.

The silly parrot probably thought he was in zoo jail and wanted some freedom, I am glad they got back to the zoo.

That is I am thinking that the parrot was taken away from the zoo via a high wind by accident.

I am in agreement with you since the parrot was just involved in a windy problem.

The zoo officials said that the parrots were not going to escape. High winds took the parrot away from the area.

I thought parrots lived in cages of sorts in zoos.

Parrots live in cages at zoos. In this case the zookeepers allowed the parrots to go outside for exercise. The high wind outside sent the parrots flying away from the zoo.

@Deepizzaguy What kind did you have? Grey parrots are really cool; but they require a LOT of attention.

Since my relatives used to own macaws and parrots, it is strange that a sudden gust of wind took away from their zoo home.

I'm not surprised they eventually took off to explore.

I know if I was a parrot I would want to go outside for some fresh air as well.

I'm glad the parrots were found. I didn't know they don't escape. So, why are they always caged?

That is a good question why parrots are always caged.

It's strange they come back to the zoo. Zoos here are not liked by the birds and animals as they want freedom.

Good they found the birds. Since they’re from the zoo they likely don’t know how to feed themselves.

This is simply amazing because mostly they don't come back

The zoo officials insist that the parrot was not going to escape.
