Weeks 15-16 (Beyond Onboarding) at Goodwill

Two weeks ago, I reached the 90-day mark for onboarding at Goodwill. It also marked the end of my job retention with OOD and Danielle at Hattie Larlham. No more check-ins beyond that week. So I was literally on my own, though Danielle said I'm doing so well, and that Goodwill is a good fit for me to gain retail work experience, work on my speed, and to earn money. She also said she's so proud of me as well for working so hard to reach each milestone to my goals. Still, my monthly goal was to hit 3 bins, or try to come close to it. And that's what I did last week and the week before that. Two weeks ago, I've hit a high and a low. On Monday, May 8th, I cleared 2.65 bins (that's the highest so far), 2.35 bins on Tuesday May 9th and Thursday May 11th, (though it was a slow day for me, but a bit average), and two bins even on that Friday for May 12th. This was when I experienced a seasonal headache and might've started having that 24-hour stomach bug. On May 11th, I also had my last virtual meeting with Danielle via Microsoft Teams to speak with OOD's Bill Lindsay. It lasted about 15 minutes, when I told him how I was doing at Goodwill, and needed to work on speed and go to 3-4 bins to become a processor. Since I haven't had any issues, he closed my case and sent me a letter confirming it. (It's been two weeks and still no letter yet.) Both he and Danielle said, if I had any issues, or wish to change careers in a year or two, I should contact Jamie again to start the process over again to have Danielle as my job counselor. Danielle also said, when I reach my goal of hitting 3 and 4 bins, she would come in to celebrate with a donut. Last week, this is when I haven't gotten any new tests from Danielle, but I know she's been reading my texts. Last Monday and Tuesday, I reached 2.50 bins on the nose. This is good as it gets for me. Last Thursday, I went back up to 2.65 bins, and then due to a slow bin day on Friday, only squeaked at 2.15 bins, which is fair enough. It's like scraping the bottom of the jar when we wait for new bins to come in, and put it in a laundry cart, though it's half full. We did it a couple of times to make ends meet. For the first two weeks of June, my work schedule remains the same with Wednesdays and weekends off. Since I'll be working on Memorial Day next Monday to earn holiday pay and an extra day off, I found out from my manager, that she rotates employees to work on holidays. I won't be working on the 4th of July, and probably have that day off. But I might have the Labor Day Weekend. It depends. Stay tuned for this week's report card on Sunday afternoon. I'll do some more catch up commenting this weekend and post new zoo animal photos this holiday weekend too. See you then.
