Timing is everything

I am still not getting to mow.
First, it is wet from rain over night, then I get ready to go mow, and get visitors, then it rains again.
Right now the sun is shining. I made pancakes, and ate, and washed dishes. I have some important mail that needs to go out.
Maybe the grass will be dry enough to mow when I get done with the mail. I can only hope.
I would like to mow the area around the clothesline. I could hang out laundry and save electricity, as well as not heating up the house from the drier.
It seems very few people in the US use clotheslines any more. We rely on our driers. I especially like sheets and blankets dried outside.
I plan to respond to some more discussions, then go to the mailbox. There is always something that needs to be done.

I wish it would rain here. Our new plants are drooping; and I can't keep asking my husband's cousin to come and water. I hope you got an opportunity to mow and hang your clothes outside. Thanks for accepting my friendship on FB. Hope you have a great weekend.

It is too bad you do not have a timed sprinkler for them. I mowed a bit and will mow some more before I take a shower.

@GardenGerty We need a longer hose. Right now his cousin is watering the plants with a watering can. Not very efficient.

@LindaOHio That is very tiring and time consuming.

I hang my laundry out to dry in the warmer weather. Today would have been a good day for it as it was sunny and windy but I didn't have enough laundry to run the machine.

@BarBaraPrz Did you figure out what the noise was?

@GardenGerty Well, I did a mini wash this morning (all my sweaty, dirty work clothes) and will hang them out in a few minutes. For some reason there's a strange noise coming from the basement where the water meter is (about under where I'm sitting).

Yes, clothes dried outdoors tend to bring in pollen.
Really hard on people with allergies. We never had a dryer growing up.

Very nice that you are close to a lakeshore to walk when the weather permits.

@GardenGerty Our little town is set between two lakes. The Swiss Lake of Lugano and the Italian lake Como. The Italian lake is not even 5 miles from us.

I do find it peaceful and I can fold it as I take it down.

The back yard really did not get much care last summer with Bob so sick. I am glad he is home this summer and feels good enough to sit and visit and do a few outdoor things.
