What to wear for tonight's zumba session?

I promised a friend, who's embarking on a new career as fitness trainer, that I'd support her every way I can. Tonight at 7pm (Philippine time) she is hosting a free zumba session via Zoom and I am joining! I'm not really a fan of zumba. I find it too fast and too noisy. I do yoga stretches, HIIT and aerobic workouts at home. But I'll try this one anyway because it might be good for me to meet women from other places. I'd been so cooped up the last 3 years. I just realized (after saying yes to my friend) that I don't really have decent workout clothes to wear. I wear my usual loose clothing when exercising. Sometimes I'm wearing a dress or just t-shirt and shorts. I'll have to check my drawers for something more appropriate. Have you ever joined a workout session online? Did you like it? * Image by Andrzej Rembowski from Pixabay

Don't you have clothes like the women in the picture have? When I was working out all the time, well before the pandemic, I already had clothes that were comfortable to work out in... I did have to buy different clothes when I joined bodybuilding contests, though.

No, I hate wearing tights or leggings. Too restrictive and uncomfortable for me. The body fitting tops are okay as long as the weather's cold. It's really hot here right now so I'll probably wear a loose sando like those girls in the 80s would wear. LOL. Whoa, you joined bodybuilding contests? Awesome.

@almostoveryou I didn't and still don't like tight fitting clothing. That was the type of thing I had to buy when I was in the bodybuilding contests... although, there isn't much to a man's "outfit" in those contests. I can't show photos of me in the contests. That would violate myLot's rules. I definitely don't look like I've ever been a bodybuilder now. That was over ten years in my past.

I never did, I do some exercises that my physiotherapist suggested to me years ago. Zumba is very bad for those who suffer of knee arthritis. I told to my cousin not to go to Zumba classes, now she needs surgery.

@almostoveryou Zumba is fast and most movement are only good for young people. My cousin had a problem to one knee and she thought that Zumba would have helped. My brother, who is a doctor, also told her not to go to Zumba classes. She listens to no one.

@LadyDuck She should probably do the steps at her own pace. We have elderly people here doing Zumba and they just do it out of fun. It's more like a social thing than a fitness regimen.

Zumba is just too fast and the music's too noisy for me. I just joined this session to support my friend. Also, the steps change every so often it can get really confusing. Good thing I don't have knee problems yet. I do a lot of squats when I do my own exercises at home.

No, I haven't joined physically, but I do some exercises while watching a YouTube video. You could wear something that you are most comfortable in. Light clothing would be good for lots of movement. and you could wear those hula skirts just kidding.

I wouldn't mind wearing a hula skirt if the others would wear one too. LOL. I wore a yellow sando that's crocheted on the neckline and *gasp* a pair of tokong. It's the most comfortable pants I could find in my drawer. I just made sure that my camera wouldn't go below my upper body because I looked so off compared to the other moms who wore the usual workout clothes.

Wear anything you feel comfortable , that would be more appropriate. The ones in the picture looks cool though. I never joined any online workout session , I do some simple exercises at home in my pyjamas

Never tried an online workout session at all. Not a Zumba girl as well.

I get that not everyone would find Zumba appealing. I find it too taxing. I'm going back to my usual exercises and probably just sign up for online zumba once a month.
