Somebody is blocking the sidewalk / myLot

I just passed this sidewalk. There is a guy (I think he is homeless) sleeping right in the middle of the sidewalk. Actually I don't know whether he is sleeping or just lying there. But he didn't move when I was walking beside him. Poor guy

. I was nervous to try to pass that guy in the beginning, but then I decided to do it and, I did it. Several times it happened to me that the homeless guy like pretended to be sleeping, but then when I was walking near him, he jumped up and asked me for some money.

. Come on, I will always give them some, just don't surprise me. Homeless people in my neighborhood are now everywhere. How about in your place? Has this ever happened with you?

I am sorry to hear this. We do not have homeless people in the streets here.

@Shasha_ This is very sad. I know that in the larger Swiss cities there are homeless, but they have shelters where they can go to sleep, they are not on the street.

That's good for everybody. In the neighborhoods where I live, the number of people sleeping on the street has been increasing lately.

@LadyDuck Your government seems to really take care of the homeless. I'm not sure if there is any shelter for the homeless here in the country where I live now .

I did not see any homeless people here these days. There used to be some near the complex area but those are not there now, may be government has provided some shelters for them

In India, homeless beggars are there but it's reduced to some extent as compared to before. But listening to you, I came to know you are very kind-hearted, lovely and full of compassion in your heart. I like and respect you

No, it hasn't... Homeless people are asked to be out of our city before the sun goes down at the end of the day. Some of the churches here will give them a ride to the nearest homeless shelters in the surrounding cities. (The surrounding cities are all much larger than my city and have homeless programs in place to support and feed them.)
