Deep fried ripe bananas

It's so common here that people have lunch with deep fried ripe bananas. They eat this with some rice, beans stew, or with other food like fried fish, meat, etc. When I find deep fried sweet ripe bananas on my plate, I usually don't eat them. I think they don't match the food. I prefer no fried ripe banana with my food. Deep fried ripe bananas are for dessert, or snacks. That's what I think. Will you like deep fried ripe bananas on your lunch plate?

I've heard of fried bananas but have never seen them before or tried them so don't know if I'd like them or not. I don't like sweet foods with my meal. If I like fried bananas, I'd also consider them a dessert for after the meal or a snack by themselves.

@Shasha_ I might try frying some banana slices and see if I like it or not. Thank you for the idea.

Exactly. I'd rather eat the fried banana with tea or coffee for snacks.

@banksim To me, the food in Colombia is not tasty. They don't use chili, black pepper, cumin, coriander, cardamoms, in their food. Instead, they use tomatoes, a little garlic, onions and A LOT OF SALT.. I hope you can imagine how they taste now.

I have never seen ripe bananas fried. This is the first time I came to know from you. Simply non-fried ripe banana matches with rice and other. Sometimes I use ripe bananas, rice and milk with sugar, and mash all of these in my lunch, which is also called banana rice pudding. Have you tried this?

Indeed it just looks yummy, but it doesn't taste yummy . Food in Colombia doesn't use much spice. So, the food tastes rather tasteless. The bananas are always deep fried.

Actually I haven't had bananas in this way and I am like you as I don't get used to it. But if it is in my plate, I will still eat it even if I don't like it very much. I just don't want to waste the food. Of course I shall avoid ordering it if I don't like this.

Actually I don't want to waste any food either. But, if I force myself to eat the fried ripe bananas, they will ruin the taste of the meals.
